2000 to 2017

  • Worked at two of the highest-ranked schools in Nevada: Las Vegas Academy of International Studies and Performing Arts (LVA) 2000-2007, Advanced Technologies Academy (A-TECH) 2007-2014, and the largest Title I School in Nevada: Western High School 2015-2017.
  • Selected to serve in a one-year grant-funded Social Studies Project Facilitator position during the 2014-2015 school year, where I planned and organized professional development and supported diverse academic activities including National History Day, WorldQuest, We The People, Model UN, C3 Framework, DBQ Project, and AP Support, in addition to writing every Social Studies-related position paper created by CCSD.
  • Taught World History and a variety of Social Studies courses, including International Cultures, Peace and Conflict Studies, AP Human Geography, and Latin American History.
  • Recruited to serve on a plethora of district, state, and nation-wide Social Studies Curriculum Committees.
