We Are In A Constitutional Emergency!

July 4, 2025: On this 249th Anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, our nation is in peril.

The Supreme Court and Congress have willingly surrendered their authority to an egotistic and narcissistic president who has no understanding of world history and no compassion for impoverished people in the United States and around the world.

• The July 1, 2024, Supreme Court ruling (6 to 3) on Trump v. United States (No. 23-939) gives the American President immunity from prosecution for any “official duties” while in office — thus placing him above the law and in a position where he could even order the assassination of a political rival.
• Congress has allowed the president to destroy federal agencies they created and supervised to protect the American people and to terminate the federal watchdog systems that were created to prevent corruption and abuse of power. Republicans in Congress have allowed President Trump to exploit emergency powers, which have consolidated the power of the executive branch.
• DOGE and Elon Musk have violated the “power of the purse” that the Constitution grants to Congress when they cut funding, terminated positions, and destroyed agencies like USAID.

We are on the brink of a full-blown autocracy.

With the Supreme Court handing unrestrained power to the office of the President and Congress voluntarily relinquishing their power, the only block to autocracy is the U.S. military. However, before taking office, Donald Trump proposed the establishment of a “warrior board” to purge the military of their of their so-called “woke” generals. On February 21, 2025, President Trump fired the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of staff and six other generals and admirals. This military shake-up was enacted to create a military that is loyal to President Trump and NOT to the U.S. Constitution. There will be no military pushback if the president decides to invade Canada, Greenland, or even California to use military force against legal protesters or to arrest Governor Newsom.

These are dangerous times.

Donald Trump’s personal goals are to amass a huge fortune for himself and his cronies and to establish a unitary executive aka a dictatorial president.

By manipulating the tax codes and stealing America’s resources under the guise of DOGE, Trump and the 1% billionaire class are becoming filthy rich with economic power and influence unprecedented in American history. As evidenced by Trump’s “Big, Beautiful Bill” that was signed into law on July 4, 2025, the wealthiest Americans will receive huge tax breaks that will further impoverish our nation, while cutting medical benefits and food assistance for our most needy citizens. There is clearly no concern for how this unprecedented greed will affect the future of our once great nation.

Step by step, the Trump administration is enacting the ultra-conservative Project 2025 Plan created by the Heritage Foundation. This authoritarian, Christian-nationalist plan strives to eliminate the separation of church and state, which may sound appealing to the Christian community until their version of Christianity is targeted as false doctrine. Project 2025 will nullify the Constitution by terminating the “separation of powers” that were mindfully established by our founding fathers to prevent the concentration of powers in a unitary executive, such as a king or dictator.

Finally, our nation’s tradition of civil liberties — our fundamental rights and freedoms — are at risk. These include our right to fair trial, right to vote, right to protest, right to express our views, and right to privacy. The Heritage Foundation is determined to roll back LGBTQ+ rights, eliminate abortion and and restrict contraception, dismantle all things DEI, replace career federal employees with individuals loyal to President Trump in order to enact their radical, undemocratic agenda. On July 2, 2024, Heritage Foundation President Kevin Roberts stated on Steve Bannon’s “War Room” podcast that “we are in the process of the second American Revolution, which will remain bloodless if the left allows it to be.”

We Have become the enemy.

Trump has alienated the United States from our traditional allies in NATO and has befriended the most vile dictators around the world like Kim Jong Un in North Korea, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman (MBS) in Saudi Arabia, and Vladimir Putin in Russia. His threats to annex Canada, Greenland, Gaza, and the Panama Canal parallel Putin’s determination to overtake Ukraine.

Wake up America!

First they attacked the Immigrants,

And few spoke out,

Because they were not Immigrants.

Then they attacked the lawyers who called out the administration’s abuses of power and their war against the Constitution,

And few spoke out,

Because they did not trust lawyers.

Then they attacked the Universities who allowed for the free discourse of ideas.

And few spoke out,

Because they did not value higher education.

Then they attacked women and people of color serving in government and the military claiming they were DEI appointments,

And few spoke out,

Because they did not value the concepts of diversity (cultural differences), equity (fairness), and inclusion (granting everyone a seat at the table).

Then they established a Christo-fascist state backed by the military,

And it was too dangerous to speak out!
