Telling people who are depressed or experiencing poverty or have a family member with a critical illness that their misery is due to negative thinking is both cruel and inaccurate.
School boards and administrators brag about implementing rigorous academic standards and having high student expectations; however, by replacing the standard A through F grading system with the 50% Minimum F system, they have lowered standards and expectations.
Life is uncertain; thus, we should make each moment count by finding beauty in the simple things, engaging in activities that bring us pleasure, and spending time with those we care most about.
